MOM: INDIA’s SPARKLING MOON

Week end comment on India's Recent Achievement in Space

On this 24th September, when the clock tickled 7: 49am [IST], the faces of 120 Crore Indians which were laden with nail biting moments and hymns on their lips, radiated with beams of glory like a full bright raising Sun. Their Heart’s blossomed with happiness and the entire subcontinent was involved in celebrations over the victory of their Scientists, who accomplished a gigantic feat of putting a space craft in orbit around Mars in its maiden attempt. Yes, it is the same country which was a colony of the British for almost 200 years created a global history by launching its indigenously built, world’s cheapest Interplanetary Mission in Red Planet’s Orbit. Thus a strong Message was sent to its colonial rulers who were still struck in a sound sleep on their Beds.
It was on 5th November 2013, just as the Rocket sped off from its launching station at Sriharikota, Western Journalists showed their Inherent racism in the form of bold Headlines in reputed media. Few of those read
“India Mars Mission to launch amidst overwhelming poverty”.
“ISRO to launch India’s first spacecraft: Britain threat to pull its aid of 300 pounds”.
“How can poor countries offer Space programs”? And so on…….All these questions were replied with a picture of our dedicated, determined ISRO Scientists with heart welcoming smiles at Bangalore soon after their success.

To all those who pointed out fingers at Indians,
You have every reason to reckon with the success of our mission. It is sure to boost our commercial activities in space & Technology, thanks to its tag “Cheapest Inter planar Mission”. We think that you are still in the dilemma of Indians poverty! Yes, we were poor when you ruled us for almost two centuries. But today our country had Industrialists who can build a home at a cost of 5000Crores. Our BCCI had made your National game as the richest Sporting Body with an annual turnover of 5300Crores. More over the cost of our Mission is 450Crores, which means Rs4 per head and this if far less than Rickshaw fair.
India doesn’t have proper sanitation facilities not because we don’t have an extra 450Crores but due to our poor execution of things. Amid our Poverty We Grew, Amid our Poverty We Are United. None of our Citizens took to Streets demanding “National Independence Referendum”. We expect, by now you got enough answers to look into your internal affairs.

 My Dear Indian’s,
Sure we have plenty of issues in Sanitation, Unemployment, Health, and Inflation. But these Negatives could wait another day. It is Time to cherish the success of our Mission. In these happy moments let us also remember that  it was out of Humiliation, Diplomatic Insults, and Constant Denial of Technology by the developed countries that provoked our Scientists to Design, Manufacture, Launch, Regulate, Operate & Direct the Satellites Purely on Indigenous Technology. Thus enabling us to be self Reliant in Space Technology and teaching the World that “the more we are denied, the more we grow”.
In this pride moments let us take a feather out of their hard work. If we could launch a Mars mission with our technology, we can do anything – from Politics, Arts to Science & Sports. India is enriched with Visionary Leaders, Dedicated Scientists, Determined Industrialists, Diverse Sport Stars, Excellent mentors and most importantly Energetic Youngsters. Let us all
Hope our Children nurture with this Inspiration from sky,
Hope our teenagers achieve the spirit of eternal Glory,
Hope our Politicians inculcate sense of selfless Service,
Hope our Industrialists undertake cost effective Projects &
Hope our Country marches forward with an Attitude of Patriotism. With its Inherent rich cultural heritage and great values, let us strive to turn our Dreams into realities.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR IBPS EXAMS

Are u preparing for bank exams ? lets have a look this will be worth reading:

Basically any bank exam paper consists of 5 important sections:

    1.Arithmetic

    2.Reasoning

    3.English

4.General awareness with special reference to banking sector

    5.Computer awareness

Here,I will discuss a general preparation technique which is well suited to any student from any background.

    Arithmetic:

In arithmetic we have simplifications, percentages, profit and loss, simple and compound interests, time and work ,time and distance, permutations and combinations, probability, income and expenditure, allegations and mixtures, partnerships, ratios and proportions and averages, data interpretation.

Things to do before starting to prepare for arithmetic:

You must learn 1-20 multiplication tables, squares of 1-30,cubes of 1-20,basic percentage to fraction conversions(50%=1/2,75%=3/4 etc) byheart. This will greatly cut down your time of calculations.
Most candidates are in a false assumption that learning short cuts are enough to crack a bank exam.
Well, these days the paper setters are being clever and are setting paper in such a way that the questions are ambiguous cases on which some of your short cuts wont work. So,before solving problems from a particular topic, list down all basic and possible derived formulae covering the topic, learn them byheart and know what is what(Suppose d=st is the formula for calculating distance when speed and time are given; You have to know what do d,s,t stand for.You have to know the units too.You cant directly substitute the given values if speed is in km/hr and time is in sec or vice versa, you need to know the conversion too) .Also, while solving the problems, first master the basic technique before going for the short-cut.
Compare both direct method and short cut method and see which saves your time.Stick to the one which saves you time.

    Reasoning:

Reasoning is a boon as well as a bane in bank papers. You can score 95%-100% marks in reasoning or you can even score negative marks.Reasoning is not easy but not a tough nut to crack

    Reasoning has three parts:

    Verbal,Non-verbal,Logical.

I personally feel that Verbal is the easiest out of the three with sufficient practice.
In verbal,we can expect questions on syllogisms, machine input, coded inequalities, sitting arrangements and puzzles, directions, coding and decoding, alphabetical and numerical series.
You don’t need to be a master mind to solve these.Even a tenth class student can solve the verbal part of reasoning given enough time. So,you have to practice keeping in mind the time the verbal part consumes.Solve as many verbal questions as you can in minimal time.
In non-verbal part, the questions are basically on figure series, relation between figure, picking the odd figure out. This  one is of average difficulty and prett y time taking because you have to sort out the logic and apply it to every figure and eliminate the inaccurate  options.
Logical part is basically found in officer level papers and those who are preparing for clerks don’t need to prepare this topic.Questions can be found on cause-effect,course of action, assumption, argument, drawing inferences and decision making.Your understanding of the question and options is critical to get a good score in this part. So,you have to sharpen your reading skills and combine them with some logical thinking. This section too is a pretty time consuming section.

    English:

Here comes the nightmare part. This is the section which makes the difference between a selected and a not selected candidate. In English, questions can be found on reading comprehension, cloze test(paragraph with filling in the blanks),scrambled/jumbled sentences,synonyms-antonyms(which can be asked in a variety of ways),correction of sentences, fill in the blanks.
For comprehension ,cloze test and jumbled sentences, you need to understand and analyse the given  paragraph and sentences.Again your reading skills play a crucial role.My opinion is to read the editorial part of newspaper with a dictionary in hand. This will also be helpful while answering descriptive paper, group discussions.
For correction of sentences, you need to know basic grammar, since this is a bank exam and not an MBA entrance.Wren and Martin book might help in this regard.

    General awareness:

They say news paper reading is the best way to score well in this section. However most of the people don’t know the technique of reading it.You have to maintain a notes for every section.Sections can be classified as National,International,Banking rates and events,Awards achievements and recent appoinments,Sports,General(Who is who),Important dates, books and authors. You have to note down the points in the related section’s note book.Or you can even write them on scratch sheets and file them according to sections.Being up-to –date is important.
Writing the point is an art.Suppose you find a point ,”Amartya Sen welcomes Food security bill in India”.You have to find out who Amartya Sen is,whats his current role/job,his past achievements and also know about food security bill details. This approach will help you to frame opinions which can be used in group discussions/descriptive papers.
You will even find marketing questions in this section.Reading the questions in previous papers can help you .But don’t prepare like an MBA,prepare like a normal graduate(Remember, minimum qualification for Bank is graduate!!!) while you prepare for Marketing.

    Computer awareness:

In computers,we can expect questions on Computer architecture/parts of computer, hardware and software, input and output devices,Internet and email basics,Networking basics, files and folders,MS-Office basics and shortcuts. Read basic points to latest developments like fastest computer developed till date.Keep an eye on latest softwares too because this will be helpful in interview purpose..

author of this article cleared all the four tests conducted by the IBPS in 2013 viz.,and presently working as a Probationary Officer in Bank of Baroda

    IBPS-RRB's Scale I officer with 135 marks
IBPS-RRB's  office assistant (multipurpose) with 130 marks
    IBPS-PO/MT III with 93 marks
    IBPS-CLERKS with 155 marks
for any doubts can post ur doubts here in coments section

    Happy reading!

Praneeth    : I believe in “If you want something then develop the attitude of achieving it “. This relieves pressure from you. Also have more interest in doing it. This makes you master at it. I was motivated much from the tutors in ACE. They are really awesome (Especially HARI BABU Sir). Also do some little technical analysis. I say don’t look at the problem no matter what you do its still a problem to you, just try for solving it and you can discover real one with in you.

Admin    : What are the questions asked in the interview?

Praneeth : Normally in these interviews more emphasis is done on basics. Some of the questions are on basics while the rest are on a continuation to them. My interview was not upto the mark. But when I got selected I realized that besides knowledge they also judge your behaviour.

Admin    : Whom do you feel as the greatest support in your life for getting any success??

Praneeth : First of all it is you to decide what you have to do but you need to be boosted by someone who knows you well. For me, its my parents.

Admin     : faced any pressure at the time of your GATE preparation?

Praneeth : i don’t think so, even my roommates are good and we did group preparation too.

Admin   : Is coaching necessary to crack GATE?

Praneeth : If you are self motivated then its not must. But its a plus point if you have opted for good coaching.

Admin  : How you managed to crack GATE ?

Praneeth : Sorry, I actually didn’t do well in Gate. But utmost care and good practice is required.

Admin     : Did u have confidence that u will get this rank?

Praneeth : Before giving paper I was also too tensed but after giving the paper I was confident. I aimed for still good rank but satisfied with what I have got.

Admin     : Do you feel proud about yourself for doing PG in IIT?

Praneeth : Its really cool atmosphere here for academics.

Admin : How was the life @ IIT Kanpur?

Praneeth : The experiences you have in IIT K will definitely help you throughout your life. You will find more freedom of developing yourselves here.

Admin : What is your success formula?

Praneeth: Don’t let yourself down, have confidence, express your in capabilities to one who will boost you to overcome it. Always get motivation in the way like.

Admin: To get  a good rank in the GATE what are the things to do?

Praneeth: Desire, attitude, motivation and discipline are necessary to get good rank. Smart work is necessary if you feel shortage of time.

Admin     : Finally What do you say to the GATE aspirants?

Praneeth   : Believe in yourself, sky is the only bound you have.

Admin     : Thank you for spending your valuable time.

Praneeth : Its my pleasure to have a word with you. Nice meeting you.
